Mary B. Hashem - Founding Partner - E-Mail
Mary Hashem is a founding partner of Brownfield Partners, LLC. Previously, Ms. Hashem was a principal with The LandBank Group, Inc. She most recently served as LandBank’s Environmental and Risk Management Director, where she was responsible for management of environmental and regulatory closure on all acquisitions, as well as structuring environmental risk management programs and technical underwriting of environmental insurance.
Ms. Hashem is an expert in pre-acquisition due diligence and in the integration of regulatory requirements and site remediation with redevelopment plans for Brownfield projects. She has worked in the Brownfields industry since 1995, with more than 15 years of experience in the environmental consulting industry. As a consultant with national engineering firms, she managed departments that specialized in regulatory compliance, auditing, due diligence and site characterization. Ms. Hashem has taken the lead in regulatory interaction, structuring remedial plans, and negotiating agreements and orders for numerous Brownfield redevelopment projects. She has managed the implementation of remedial actions in coordination with site development for industrial facilities including refineries, bulk storage terminals and a former steel mill, and at properties over 500 acres.
Ms. Hashem has published numerous articles and papers, and regularly speaks at national Brownfield conferences and seminars, where she addresses the developer’s perspective in matters of environmental property restoration and redevelopment. Ms. Hashem holds a Bachelor’s degree in Earth and Planetary Sciences from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
