. In this project, soil contamination was suspected, but not known. Brownfield Partners’ services included re-directing the environmental investigation and regulatory process for the property during due diligence, allowing the site to be entered into the State of
Colorado
’s Voluntary Clean-Up Program (VCUP).
- Rather than conduct extensive up-front investigations and remediation, Brownfield Partners successfully crafted an investigation approach and Contingency and Soils Management Plan which was implemented during demolition and early site preparation activities saving both time and expenses.
- Brownfield Partners also managed the selection, underwriting and placement of an environmental liability insurance policy for the property, advising the owners on appropriate insurance carriers, terms, limits and coverages for the insurance, as well as working with an insurance broker to place insurance at closing that offered liability protection to the owners and affiliated companies.
